New application center opened
Weber Ultrasonics AG, founded in 1998 by Dieter Weber, celebrated its 25th anniversary on September 15. At the same time, the new Application Center was opened in Becker-Göring-Straße in Karlsbad. Numerous customers and partners from Europe, America and Asia were on hand. They were given a comprehensive insight into the wide range of products and services offered by ultrasonic solutions. Cleaning, welding and cutting applications were demonstrated live. Experts from various industries shared current challenges, innovative solutions and their profound expertise in keynote speeches.
Mayor Björn Kornmüller, also congratulated and underlined the important role of the company as a major employer in the region. "The founding of the company was thanks to the innovations of Dieter Weber. And even today, this spirit of research is something that one immediately associates with Weber Ultrasonics. The past years have been marked by numerous patents and application-oriented product innovations."
The Chairman of the Foreign Trade Committee of the Karlsruhe Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Robert W. Huber presented the anniversary certificate to the company. He congratulated on the outstanding position in the national and international competition, which was confirmed by the Global 2021 Award. Huber highlighted the exemplary work in vocational training. "In your company, in-company training and continuing education play a central role. Three times in a row, your trainees ensured that your company received an award from our Chamber of Industry and Commerce."
The new Application Center covers an area of 1800 square meters and offers an attractive customer area with meeting rooms and application laboratories for welding and cutting applications. It also has a cleaning lab where joint trials can be conducted with customers. In addition, there are development laboratories for measurements and monitored endurance runs. "The bundling of competences in the areas of Technology, Service and Sales, which were previously distributed at different locations, brings numerous advantages both for internal cooperation and for our customers. It supports the transformation of the company from a pure component manufacturer to a specialist for innovative industrial ultrasonic solutions," emphasized CEO Jürgen Wolf.
The day ended with a festive banquet at the Kurhaus Waldbronn, where cabaret artist Gunzi Heil reviewed the company's history in a very special way. Back to Blog page
