An interview with Wolfgang Mangold, COO of Weber Ultrasonics AG, on the new personnel changes in 2025

Question: Mr. Mangold, Weber Ultrasonics AG is starting the new year with a significant change in personnel. Can you tell us more about this?

Wolfgang Mangold: Of course! On February 1, 2025, Matthias Cullmann will take over the position of Vice President Commercial Management in our company. Mr. Cullmann brings an impressive combination of expertise and experience and will play a crucial role in safeguarding our corporate values and ensuring our long-term success.

Question: What makes Mr. Cullmann particularly qualified for this position?

Wolfgang Mangold: Mr. Cullmann is a qualified business lawyer (LL.M.) and has in-depth expertise in the areas of trade compliance, commercial and fiscal law as well as foreign trade law. In addition, he has already proven in comparable management positions within the ultrasound industry that he can optimize processes and costs and strategically manage global supply chains.

His strength lies not only in his theoretical expertise, but also in the practical implementation of sustainable commercial business strategies. He therefore has exactly the skills that we need in the current economically and politically challenging times.

Question: What tasks will Mr. Cullmann take on in his new role?

Wolfgang Mangold: His main tasks include the development and implementation of sustainable commercial strategies and the management of our trade compliance activities. He will focus on optimizing processes and ensuring a clear cost structure in order to further strengthen the competitiveness of our company.

He will also work closely with our teams to further develop our internal structures and at the same time expand our position as a reliable supplier of solutions in the field of industrial ultrasonic applications.

Question: What significance does this change have for Weber Ultrasonics AG?

Wolfgang Mangold: The appointment of Mr. Cullmann is an important step into the future for us. Today more than ever, the global economic challenges require a clear strategy and excellent management. With Mr. Cullmann on board, we are ideally positioned to master the challenges ahead and at the same time take advantage of new opportunities.
